Guitar Tuner – The Best Guitar Tuner

In my opinion the best guitar tuner out on the market today is the Intelli IMT-500. I bought this tuner over a year ago and I love it. I get together every month with a group of friends in what we call the Saturday Night Sing. It's a very informal group where we have a potluck and pull out Rise Up Singing, one of the great sing along books. The room can get noisy with people calling out songs, getting up to get something to eat and trying to tune their instrument. Mostly guitars, mandolins, the occasional banjo. I have absolutly no problem getting in tune with all that's going on around me. For one thing it clips to the headstock of the guitar and picks up the vibration of the instrument so you don't need a mic. The other thing is it's chromatic so you can toss it over to a mandolin play and they can tune up. Or you can easily jump toDADGAD tuning. You can use it on any instrument. It's digital and has a needle meter so you can see exactly how sharp or flat you really are. This is very accurate. I never did like that red light green light thing. It has an easy to read back light that turns off automatically after a few minutes if you're not using it so the batteries don't die. You can tune it with a capo on and it makes adjustments. It is the best guitar tuner I have ever owned. Every body that uses it loves it. Having it clip the headstock without the need for a mic is the biggest advancement in guitar tuner. They are very inexpensive and I consider this tuner a great bargain. Like I said I've had it over a year now and love it. I have yet to replace the batteries after all this time. If you're in the market for a guitar tuner then consider the Intelli IMT-500.
